COACHING PLAYERS & PLAYER ENJOYMENT
We want all our players to enjoy football and to develop at their own pace. Our Coaches also want to enjoy coaching the players, below are a few simple ground rules for coaches, players, and parents/guardians that help us all to enjoy the game
Players:

-
To be eligible for matches and fair game time we ask that you: show commitment and good behavior at training and matches; attend all training sessions and arrive on time.
-
We want you to enjoy playing football; we believe we learn more by trying new skills, working hard, and not worrying about making mistakes. If you agree to do these things, we guarantee you will become a better player.
Coaches:

-
All our coaches are FA Qualified and DBS checked.
-
We are focused on the long-term development of our players and work to the FA guidelines of age development and training sessions through both the Foundation phase (5-11) and .Youth Development Phase (12-16)
-
We aim to provide a safe, friendly, enjoyable learning environment.
-
We look at the technical, physical, psychological, and social aspects of the game.
-
We don’t want to pigeon-hole players from a young age and want them to develop their skills and confidence for the long term. This means playing in different positions.
-
Over the course of the season, we aim to have a fair rotation of player positions and fair game time.
Parents/Guardians:
-
We operate in a number of leagues which often encourage ‘silent side-lines’ which we have taken to mean: positive encouragement and support for both teams is great, but the people that should be heard are the players.
-
Arriving and departing on time to training and matches is such a massive help it cannot be over-emphasized. We find the players do better if they join in from the start.
-
Please make sure the players are dressed appropriately for training and match days and that they have all their kit, medicine, drink, and a snack.
-
If you are ever late, or if you are going to be late, please just let the Coach know.
-
We always need help. If you want to get involved in any way, please let us know.
